Join the Journey supports individuals who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, from the newly diagnosed patient to the survivor years after recovery. Our programs are designed to help you at any stage in your breast cancer journey. See our list below to find out more details about a specific Join the Journey program.
If you are looking for a mentor or companion on your breast cancer journey—someone to provide emotional support and help you navigate the maze of decisions and questions—our Pink Ribbon Mentors are available to help. Pink Ribbon Mentors are breast cancer survivor volunteers, and Join the Journey will try to partner you with a Mentor who has had a similar diagnosis, treatment or concerns as your own.
If you are looking for a fun way to connect with other survivors, exercise and perhaps learn a new skill, join us each week during the warm months at our Making Waves Dragonboating Fellowship.
If you would like to connect with other survivors and share your story, then we invite you to our monthly Breast Cancer Support Group at Hope Lodge.
If you are receiving breast cancer treatment or are the caregiver or loved one of someone receiving breast cancer treatment at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, come participate in a relaxing creative art project courtesy of our Creative Support Series while you wait in Mayo Clinic’s Gonda 10 Lobby for your appointment.
If you have been newly diagnosed with breast cancer at Mayo Clinic or Olmsted Medical Center, you should receive a copy of the Mayo Clinic Breast Cancer Book free of charge as part of our Book Program.
If you are a newly diagnosed breast cancer patient or need post-operative relief after breast cancer surgery, Join the Journey can provide you with our Essentials Gift Bag or Moonlight Pillow.
This group aims to provide support through sharing experience, encouragement and assisting to find resources. We invite you to our monthly meeting at Hope Lodge.
